GRE word of the day

So I have been attempting to study for the verbal portion of the GRE the past couple of months. Today I came across one of those obscure, but awesome words that I had never even heard of before!

And the word is:

inveigle. to win over by flattery or coaxing

Krystal inveigled the studly, genius-of-a-man into taking the GRE for her.

Apparently it is Anglo-Norman French in origin. Meaning it is a really, really, old word. Like, so old that people don't even use it anymore. It is also the name of a B grade play that is Not Suitable For Children. Truly scary, I know.

In other news, I already know what the words jocose and junta mean. Go me.
